About Me

Professor Babür Dora was born on 07.07.1967 in Germany. He
finished his primary and high-school education at the Ankara
TED Collegge. After that he went to Hacettepe University School
of Medicine and got his M.D. in 1991. He started his training in
neurology at the Ankara University School of Medicine
Department of Neurology in 1991 and got his degree in 1996.
After working at his private practice together with his father
Prof.Dr.Farabi Dora for some years he started his career at the
Akdeniz University School of Medicine Department of Neurology
in 2000. He became appointed as an Associate Professor in
2004 and as a Professor of Neurology in 2010. He is fluent in
english and german.
Professor Dora has been chairman of the Department of
Neurology at the Akdeniz University School of Medicine since
January 2017. He established the Transcranial Doppler
Ultrasound laboratory in 2000, the headache outpatient clinic in
2004 and the stroke outpatient clinic in 2010. He served as a member of the directory board of the
turkish neurological association from 2011-2014 and is a member of the directory board of the
turkish society for headache and pain research since 2019. He has published over 60 articles in
scientific journals, written 20 books and book chapters and was an invited speaker at over 80
medical congressess.
